ReplyDeleteGood solve. I filled in with the help of crossings and set about parsing it later.
ReplyDelete1A- SOS- Is it help or call for help?
ReplyDeleteSeveral good clues.
ReplyDelete5A- Blue as Anind before bird,
10A- Ample sample
17D- Attic as stirsge room
...are ample proof.
Ravelment was new to me but on thinking it unraveled itself!!
Typo in 19a. anD
ReplyDeleteIt takes a while to unscramble (Cryptic?) Prasad's comments.
DeleteExtremely is for 'And' also and hence D to be added.
The anno I had was "extremely" to pick end-chars. Extremely dreary = D-Y. "and" was just a connector between 2 parts of the anagram fodder.
DeleteDo you mean extremely depressing- D&G?
DeleteYes
DeleteIt's a relative term from a starting point. For a word it's on the left hand side.
DeleteWithout an indication to start at centre imho, it's not a proper use.
13A anybody please explain how ghana is arrived?
ReplyDeleteI can parse it now. Suspend is hang.+a (cycling of g). is it ok?
ReplyDelete"Cycling" indicator means moving first char to the end or last char to the beginning. So cycling of HANG gives GHAN
Deletethank you.!
