Lots of doubts-
ReplyDelete11A- Banquet is a dinner and not a party. Maybe, one can call it a celebratory dinner (but still a dinner)
4D- bails (or is it balls) from? Courage?
4D Balls
DeleteDic. says 'Balls' is courage, esp. when reckless.
Delete13A- Model is a carving?
ReplyDelete9D: horse is nag, stag is deer.
ReplyDeleteSathia
Scott usage, stag is unbroken stallion!
DeleteI think it is generally any male animal like bull, deer, horse etc.
DeleteBut particularly deer in Englush usage.
Anything can mean anything except anything in American English.
Delete16D- Kilogram= Lightweight- as a def.? Not happy.
ReplyDelete22D- Umlaut is typically German and needs an indicator (foreign etc.)
light weight usually denoted as gram. Kilo measures more than a gram
Delete16d +1
DeleteLatin Gramme translation is small weight. Not lightweight.
6A- Went too fast!! Out of circulation.
ReplyDeletePassdy sir!!! 15 D - what is the function of ICE?
ReplyDeleteApologies....Paddy sir....Typo
ReplyDeleteICE stands for Immigration and Customs Enforcement Enforcement authorities of US. You may recall about a plane of (illegal migrants from India) were deported to India by this agency.
ReplyDeleteSathia
Thanks Sathia....good point. well noted.
DeleteHow are we to connect USA & ICE? If it is anything other than India, there should be an indication. This is an Indian CW. I took the reversal to include this and searched for ECI which took me to Election Commission of India and I was wondering about its connection to immigration.
DeleteYes, Bihar’s SIR is aimed at removing illegal immigrants by ECI😀
DeleteSathia

ReplyDeleteSathia
