  4. 5D- Link leads to the slang phrase "China plate", but how does it become just China?

    1. The phrase "china" meaning "mate" or "friend" comes from Cockney rhyming slang, where "china plate" rhymes with "mate," so people shortened it to just "china". It's a classic British/London slang term, used for a close friend or buddy, often heard as "me old china," and it's common in South Africa too, though considered a bit old-fashioned now.

    2. Charles Lamb wrote an essay too, Old China. It is a symbol for memories (porcelain).

    4. I thought solution is cartload ( vehicular capacity)? Or is it other way? Always, this confusion on CA.

    5. Solution is what goes into the anagram. Here it is cartload and we get it from vehicular capacity. Normally 'this' is used and it is a giveaway.
Choke is given and we have to get the other word to find Dark chocolate.
Yes, i was confusing to me as well and I am slowly getting over it.
