Another starightforward CW. Did not like a couple of the clues though.

29 - Fabric for a six-footer officer (8) – {SERGE}ANT Do not know how ANT is connected with a six-footer. A Sergeant is not an officer in the classical sense, he is only a Non-commissioned officer or an NCO. (Update - Six-footer relates to the six feet of an ant hence ANT)

 3 - Plant on one leg (5) – ONION Annotation for second ON not clear (Update - Second on in from leg stump cricket which is known as ON side)

    I am at a beginner level in solving Hindu crossies and tHese days i am following your blog to understand the clues. I would like get few clarification for the yesterday's crossie.

     9 - Spanish aristocrat turns back the rubber mass DON<-{U}LE. I am not getting how U and LE are in place (LE -> Spanish Turns back ??? )

    12 - Tradesmen have speakers before the last bulb (5) – TU{LIP} TU (from Trade Union and LIP for Speakers ). But how it is related to the last bulb, i m not getting.

    Also, Does SS stand for German Soldier ?? may i know how ..

    21 - A soldier at an art gallery to stir up public opinion (7) – A{GI}TATE -> not getting the anno :(

    turn = NOD<-
    turn(s) = U
    The = LE (in french, though not indicated by the compiler)

    TULIP is a bulbous type of flower, so the relation with bulb.
    Speakers before the last means LIPS(-s) = LIP

    SS is the abbreviation for 'Schutzstaffel' or the Infamous Nazi special police force in Hitler's time

    A = A
    Soldier = GI (private soldier in the US Army, it was abbreviated from 'government or general issue', remember GI Joe?)
    Art gallery = TATE
