  7. Good time with Gridman, as usual! Loved the clues for THEME, MAUSOLEUM, and OBSESS.

    Two niggles:
    - In 10d, "old OB" appears tautologous
    - The US city in 3d would be NYC; it's the state that is NY!

    1. NY in Collins has been given to mean either city or state

      Re old ob. I saw recently an list of the alumni association of my school and realised that I was not just any OB. I was an old OB:)

  8. I too am nearing that status in our college OB. I too thought NY could mean both city & staet, but did not have a ref. Probably one would think of the city first, by default.
