30A: Defn=window cover, not open=SHUT, thrice=TER, prefix for thrice.
27: The "durable material" can only be DENIM, not even JEANS.
An update on 27D - I looked up the dictionary, it does define JEAN as "a twilled cotton cloth" when used in the singular.

CONG is for Congress party, you are right there, the party appears in 11A as well

Thanks for the enlightenment.
Regarding my computer one of my discs has crashed,since it was the one running the Windows, so also the data with it. The disc is not being detected by the system, have to try and find someone who can either repair it or at least recover the data from the disc if possible
