  6. Neat puzzle.

Just thought 5D was a bit vague.

8D: Artist = AR or RA? From the clue, presume it's RA. How do you get it? Could somebody help?

  7. Yea, I could see that. Just wanted to know how Artist = RA

  8. VJ,
RA appears in 5D as well RA = Royal Academician = Artist

  10. Thanks Deepak... I could see the connection between "Royal Academician" and "RA," but couldn't quite figure why Artist = RA. I get it now. Thanks again.

  11. S & B meeting in Chennai on Aug 8: no prob about a morning/noon meeting.
Bhargav will be back in Chennai from his US trip and for him too the time will suit, I think, though he has to confirm it.
The exact timing can be fixed as per Deepak's preference so he can comfortably make his subsequent travel plan.
VJ, please confirm suitablity for you of the above.
So Chennai Aug 8 Morning or noon Duration will be 60 to 90 mins.
Attendance will be Gita, Chaturvasi, Deepak, Bhargav, VJ.
If any other solver wants to join, send email to chaturvasi(at)yahoo(dot)com

  14. No posts for about 11 hours. A record for daytime blogging hours? Or is the comment box back to its occasional pranks?

This anecdote is with further reference to the discussion on cigars and smoking. I am not sure if it is a real-life incident.

Once a smoker was smoking at the airport.

A gentleman arrives and asks him, "How much do you smoke a day?"

    Smoker : "More than 100 Dollars...Why?"

Gentleman : " If you would have collected the money instead of smoking, the plane which is in front of you would have been yours."

Smoker : "Is that plane yours?"

    Gentleman : "No."

Smoker : "Thanks for your advice, but that plane is mine."

(Smoker's name - Mr VIJAY MALLYA, chairman of the UB and Kingfisher group)

Moral : Unnecessary advice is injurious to health.
