    Telegu is there as a spelling for Telugu in the freeonline dictionary.

    But there are other cribs on that clue. The medium in Hyderabad is more likely to be Urdu.

    And maybe with Telangana they will start spelling it as Telegu

      When I read the clue ,I thought URDU as answer.After looking at the enu I had put TELUGU and did'nt get 26A :(

    gt is an accepted abbr for great. In fact, when you are taking down notes, you're apt to use this. In any case, the abbr. is in Chambers.

    Also, the sp variant for Telugu is in Chambers.
