  1. 'bod' is not a name; it's a word that means a person or a person's body. Could be a woman also.

  2. 'Rough' because maybe Gridman thinks that a bunk, which is a sleeping berth on a ship or elsewhere, is not as comfortable as the bed in a house, perhaps well-cushioned, a collection of pillows piled up and 'comforters' thrown about and with not a suggestion of cramped appearance.
