  2. I agree with C'vasi-sir. I have been hearing or reading expressions like 'Did he have the bottle to take any action?' for many years.

    Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English says:

    BrE informal - courage to do something
    dangerous or unpleasant (Example: I never thought she would have the bottle to do it!)

    Sorry, I was not able to use italics wherever necessary above, as I am still a toddler in blogging techniques.

    Nevertheless, it is great fun to here.
