  19. So many tools to thresh us with; had gr(e)ating time chiselling through and hammer the clues into some shape.

    What's Andhra's TITTI?

It is quite amazing to note how an Indianized cryptic crossword has been compiled mainly on the theme of the day. We Indians have really taken the cryptic clues up several rungs in the ladder. But, isn't that what we do in anything that we do? But then, why are we still where we are, like a chicken looking for grains , pecking away at the same place? Ten steps up and twenty steps down in the well? Has any one thought of insuring and patenting the compilers'( and also, ahem , we solvers!) genes, for posterity?

Had a very memorable day worshipping Goddess Saraswati, solving today's crosswords. Thanks, Gridman.

  23. Had to download Java.
Did on line- printer dried up- not my grey cells. what a way to begin the Ayudh pooja day!

Smooth sailing in 11 Across. Got a bit 13 Across at first but 14 across up in the 15 across. did'nt prove my 27 across.12ed through and 1 acrossed all of them.

wasn't much of a 5 down from the compiler. He wasn't 17 down to any one, I should say. If any one got the 5 down, please don't show your 8 down to him. He was very 7 down in cluing.

Those who cannot 21 down may have to try harder.!!

Great in completing the 18 downs laid down.

In the absence of the other addiction of all the newspapers having folded up for the day, this was a 11 across service from DG and ARDEN. Thanks from an ardent addict
