    1. I was dead sure Kishore would remember the song from the movie 'The Sound of Music' (1965). So may have many others on this forum, the boss included.

    2. There's no way anyone of that period can forget that song

    3. Proves we are dated. (And I use the last word in its earlier avatar, not meaning what it means now)

    1. I wrote a reply but alas lost it before publishing it.

I am going out now, will try to retype when I come back. But, in the meantime, anyone may have their say.

    2. OK. Now -

'Flaring' suggests something burning but 'flaming' is apt.

'Flaming' is an adjective often used intensively. 'A flaming idiot' is 'a pucca idiot'. (Kishore/Padmanabhan: does PGW uses this? I don't remember.)

'A flaming nuisance' is a person who goes on a burning spree. 'Flaming' is also a word that expresses one's annoyance at something. When we say 'a flaming nuisance', our disapproval of the person's action is implied.

ALOE VERA as a LOVE AREA... Quite prickly ;-)

    1. Sorry, it was a cactus I was thinking of, not aloe vera.
