ReplyDelete26a K(IT T)EN, I thought
Thanks Kishore. Right on both counts.
DeleteSmall typo in 5a
DeleteCorrected
DeletePlease own up, all 'Skinheads' of this blog!!
ReplyDeleteThree and half decades back, Tirupati
DeleteFive decades back at Tirupati
DeleteAfter that, I was called Double Head (Rettai Mandai) in the school and I decided not to have skinhead ever after that.
DeleteBald humour...
DeleteAnd where are you all heading?
DeleteTo Vizag
DeleteBalderdash, may I add.
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteAsk not where the skinheads are. Ask who does not have skin on his head
ReplyDelete18 Up in the sky top stars assembled here (12) STRATOSPHERE {TOP+STARS+HERE}*
ReplyDeleteI had this as {TOP STARS}* {HERE}
Dextral
Deletehmmm .. Now I understand how "often" has been re-purposed to mean "regularly"
DeleteLike 'rare' is used as an anagram ind.
Deleterare = lightly cooked seems to be a valid anagram indicator. Am i missing something ?
DeleteMy point above was often = regularly ( in the sense of frequently and not in the sense of a pattern ), but I have seen it used to pick alternate letters. Just like how I think student became L (Student = Learner = L)
I did not connect rare with often. Just a comment abt its use. Rare as 'unusual' for an anagrind, I meant.
DeleteJust an innocent query: How does one distinguish between the thick-headed and the thick-skinned?
ReplyDeletePeel them all over
DeleteI was told that Skinheads are also called DOT BUSTERSs they were rubbing off Bindis from the foreheads of Hindu women.
ReplyDelete2 Want central rulers as a pointer (6) NEEDLE {NEED}{ruLErs}
ReplyDeleteAs 'rulers' is in plural isn't 'a pointer' incorrect?
Can't make out the meaning here:
5 Time for work, eschewing sin with rubber (6) ERASER
Raghunath @ 1:10
ReplyDeleteReminded me of that crossword video

DeletePerhaps Ajeesh is referring to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVWdbO6FFfw

ReplyDeleteBetter late than never ! Happy to join the elite club of "Skinheads" of this blog ! I'm a Three-Quarter type "Skinhead",
yet to become a grandpa !
Re. 2Dn, Raghu had said: As 'rulers' is in plural isn't 'a pointer' incorrect?
ReplyDeleteOther words would have fitted the purpose like POLEAX or SCLERA.
In any case, Arden's effort to vary from the monontonous 'the French' is welcome. Recently, we had the 'Nice article' (in Shuchi's blog).
