  5. 24D CACAO is said to be the original spelling. It began being wrongly spelled as COCOA and the latter version gradually attained acceptance over the years.

    That is what I had read in an authoritative book on the stuff. Maybe others can throw some light on this.

  6. In 1 ac, the anagram fodder is 'debate on movie' , anagrind is 'broadcast' and Nonparticipant leader 'N' has to be included. That was the intended annotation.
