ReplyDeleteLovely grid. My favs were 3d VIVID, 27d STARBOARD and 29a COPYIST
ReplyDeleteTypo : 17d STARBOARD
DeleteReally sir . 66 days, SEVENTY and DETECTIVE were Today’s favourite. Vidwan’s grid completely solved before 11am. Waiting for my turn to post VIVID. Thanks to Viswanathan and col. Sit for Friday special.
DeletePlease read it as Vidwan. Typo
DeleteGood clues. Very easy too
ReplyDelete20D....Constant may or may not be 'even'. In mathematical it has a fixed value, either even or ODD. I got the answer as SEVENTY. some where I could not convince the word how it suits on "even". pl.correct me .
ReplyDeleteImagine a stream flowing in a steady constant way, would you not call it an even flow? (without turbulence)
ReplyDeleteSituationally it’s correct. Agreed. we can say as even flow or even surface. Since The puzzle specifically stated as number I had gone into the deep . Thanks for the clarification.
DeleteI referred to Free dic. Unchanging, even, regular are some of the synonyms given.
DeleteNumber is def. and constant is part of wordplay.
Thanks Paddy sir. According to WP it’s correct. My core doubt is cleared
DeleteAs an ex-IAF guy, I had a smooth flight in solving this edition of The Hindu Crossword, incidentally on the Anniversary of our Air Force Day. So bountiful thanks to Vidwan...
ReplyDeleteEnjoyable and easy. Filled up quite fast. had more variety this time with a few T's added.
ReplyDelete7D- I first filled in Edict and realised my mistake when I got Edict for 26D. Got it right the second time around.Good clue.
4D was well constructed.
