Tere wiil be no special at 10:30 today. Will have it at 10:30 AM tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAye, aye, Sir!
DeleteSince, there will be a THC tomorrow, and may be not on Tuesday, ideally the special should be on Tue. Since that day is a working day and thre is a possibility of a THC from an online edition, why not host the special a little later tomorrow, say at 230 pm, so that ot does not upstage the regular THC puzzle?
DeleteWill take a decision tomorrow morning
DeleteI understand that there will be TH edition out on Monday as well as Tuesday - meaning there is no closed holiday with no issue the next day. Maybe, one or two remote centres may miss the edition one day if the private printing unit is closed the prev. day.
DeleteWhy 'poor' region sir ?
DeletePoor is the anagram indicator and region is the anagram fodder which on being anagrammed becomes 'Ignore' meaning 'pass by' which is the definition
DeleteMy COD 3D.
ReplyDelete14A: Bugbear again. Shepherd's Pie.
Some cute definitions, like 25D.
Very much like Sankalak's. No fuss. Enjoyable crossword.
ReplyDelete23A- 'a' used for 1- a Parisian 'un'at that!
ReplyDeleteShuchi discussed this point in her last mail. Does not seem to be fair.
I don't think there is any problem here.
DeleteIn we are asked to substitute I for a, there is the switch a = one = 1 = I
But "a Parisian" is just a in Paris, that is, a in French and that is un.
'A book' in English is 'un livre' in French. We merely substitute 'un' for a.
No switch takes place.
Too bad that many have have stayed away. Only hard-core !!
ReplyDeleteGood one on a Sunday. SEESAW : sees-a w : OK, where does the wild mare come in? Any connection?
Alkie is a new term I've come across in this crossword for a drunkard, Never seen it before ! One learns and those who miss today's miss the experience of learning a new word.. Is it a slang language or any typical Irish or Welsh or dialectical term?
Wish we had all the regulars here. Missing them. What do they do on Sundays? Is Crossies not a part of their routine ? Why is the blog being selectively" boycotted" by them on Sundays?
