Same grid as on 04 Feb 2009. Different clues
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Mohsin. You have Manna-ged to find out that this was the very first one that the Colonel blogged.
DeleteA scientist, that he is ! :)
DeleteAnd I find Richard was the first commenter of this blog on 07 Feb 2009.
DeleteBalu, now that you have made a mention, I am putting my collar up...:-)
DeleteCheers !!!
DeleteWait a minute before you raise your glass, I had not joined the blog as on that date. It could be a different date you are talking about. I began chipping in a couple of months later.
DeleteOf course it is Mohsin. Its my tribute to Colonel who has pulled this impossible coup of keeping us all together for 5 years and also make setters out of many of us. Hip Hip Hooray Colonel. 3 Cheers.
DeleteNo offence meant. Here I just stole the grid :P
DeleteGreat detective work Mohsin. I gave up trying after scratching my head over it for a whole day

Deepak and Kishore: Re Shanghai and Bangalore being used as verbs, I thought of telling you about the book BANGALORED the expat story by Eshwar Sundaresan, a good friend and former media colleague of mine. He is an IT techie-turned-fulltime-author, based in Bangalore.
@ Shuchi, this might interest you as well. Earlier three comments posted @ 1:17 pm, 1:04 pm, 11:28 am have been deleted on Sat 7 Feb 2009 for CW no.9450 by M.Manna
Hope, Col Sir, confirms it ! :)
DeleteMB, that must have been posted on that day by some error, which RL was probably trying to correct when he deleted those posts. As RL put it a few days back, I had not yet 'happened', so there was no way RL could have addressed me.
DeleteYes, I double-checked it. I got to confess to some of my clandestine actitivy.
DeleteIn fact, those posts were made for test purposes to get link embedded on a much later date in mid-2009. I had thought no one would notice it.
But CV somehow happened to discover it some days later and sent me a tutorial email on how to embed links in one's posts. Looks like I forgot to delete the last post. ;-(
That should settle the matter. Feeling better now after getting it off my chest. :-)
* corr. 'activity' in para 1.
