Deepak and Kishore: Re Shanghai and Bangalore being used as verbs, I thought of telling you about the book BANGALORED the expat story by Eshwar Sundaresan, a good friend and former media colleague of mine. He is an IT techie-turned-fulltime-author, based in Bangalore.

@ Shuchi, this might interest you as well. Earlier three comments posted @ 1:17 pm, 1:04 pm, 11:28 am have been deleted on Sat 7 Feb 2009 for CW no.9450 by M.Manna

    9. MB, that must have been posted on that day by some error, which RL was probably trying to correct when he deleted those posts. As RL put it a few days back, I had not yet 'happened', so there was no way RL could have addressed me.

    10. Yes, I double-checked it. I got to confess to some of my clandestine actitivy.

In fact, those posts were made for test purposes to get link embedded on a much later date in mid-2009. I had thought no one would notice it.

But CV somehow happened to discover it some days later and sent me a tutorial email on how to embed links in one's posts. Looks like I forgot to delete the last post. ;-(

That should settle the matter. Feeling better now after getting it off my chest. :-)

  23. AFTERDARK: An easy-going Sunday made bery special by a very solvable crossie , linking it to the THCC blog started by the Col. Congrats andnthree cheers to you to devise such a devious riddle that could have been detected only by those who were the pioneers of this blog. In any case, a fitting tribute to the blog. Uf the good Col made you and a few others compilers, he also should be given credit to keep his Regiment closely lnit, knitting their brows by such a varied gang .

OPEN AIR MARKET ( number of the clue answers) and HANSOMS were a bit tricky as the annotations were made a bit hard due to the Carriages/ Hansom .
You are such a good "reservist' for Sunday duties. Keep it up !!
