    1. I mistook a clue for an indirect anagram. Sorry Cryptic XI

  11. Seems like our setter likes anagrams a lot. All the same, good to encourage new setters. nice cluing and I found 27 across to be very imaginative. CRYPTIC XI I seems to be a fan of crosswords and cricket, as can be seen from some clues here. Good going and keep us active, anagrammatist !

MY Acrosslite clues and grid has shrunk in size ans I find it hard to solve online. Any one else with the same problem? If not how to set it right ?

Happy solving, ye-all. Off for some chilled beer and lunch ! The heat here is roiling me dry !

After opening the D/L'd puz in AcrossLite, go to Options in top penu.
There for the clues/clue numbers, etc, by ticking the relevant box and changing the font from drop down box and saving the changes, you can have a better, bigger, bolder type that you prefer.
Again, from the top menu, you can simply and easily zoom in/out the grid. One reduces the fill-in grid, the other increases it. However, there might be a limit to the extent you can go.

    1. Usually I do nat have any problem. Only this time, I am able to view only half the grid and I have to keep moving left and right to get the other half. Also, only Ac. clues are visible. Could it be due to a different type of loading?

  30. If anyone wants to join Cryptic X1 (who doesn't have time to set a full grid), please let me know at vmajeesh@gmail.com :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I appreciate the joint efforts.
I also appreciate the extra work undertaken by the facilitator who in this case appears to be Ajeesh,
I would appreciate if in the future editions, while using the standard byline Cryptic XI, we are given along with the puz itself who set the grid and who were the clue-writers. No clue or clues may be identified with its/their writers.
If the facilitator (the putter-together) is different from the grid setter, due credit may be given to him/her.

  32. Would Hydrahead have been a suitable byline? Jus' kidding!
