    After seeing the comments of the other solvers here, I braced myself for a cerebral ordeal.

    PFOOOF ! What a brain-fogger ! I made so many silly entries and got sent on a wild-goose chase ! So many annotations undesirably convoluted ! who could be the ''SADIST'' compiler ? I managed to crack it in less than two hours, mainly because of a few red herrings to be corrected. Finally, felt good for myself to look and re-look at the grid and now get, set, ready and SUBMIT ! Which I am doing now. Good luck to all those who struggled like me .
