DeleteThis crossword is a plateful of samosas😊
ReplyDeleteWe do miss Dr. Gayatri
Yes,whenever it was a full house,it had to be samosas for her. If I remember right, she signed off since she got busy writing a book (hopefully Dr.RKE will resume some time later)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how 20D is a DD. What is the 2nd def.? It can't be still. Still is the antonym of no longer.
ReplyDeleteStill the same- same
No longer the same- Different
When its none-the-less, its same.
DeleteWhen its No Longer, it could be same.
Agree with Paddy..it's antonym...second definition is a CD I think
DeleteSmooth and easy as always. Thanks incognito
ReplyDeletePlease enlighten me. Whats the role of DIANA'S in 23ac
ReplyDeleteGil gadot onscreen name in roman is Diana, in Greek Athena.
DeleteGal gadot
DeleteThis is what I could find from the net.
Delete"Like Artemis (Diana) the Goddess of hunt, was a Virgin Goddess."
Does it mean that Diana is Artemis and not Athena? I am confused.
The link to Athena (given by Col.) does not mention Diana.
It's not 23 ac.
DeleteThis is the link from where I got the above-
ReplyDeletehttp://www.mythencyclopedia.com/Ar-Be/Athena.html
Excellent puzzle Sir.
ReplyDelete26A. " ... (DD) It's not a DD as both mean the same." Not clear to me. What is it if not DD?
ReplyDeleteFor a DD both definitions should have different meanings. For example, Problem Child (5) for Issue.
DeleteIf both have the same meaning then it falls into the category of Duplicate Definition or as colourfully named by Uncle Yap, "Dud".
This is what Col. means.
You can read about this in this enlightening blog of Crossword Unclued,

Thank you, I see it now.

ReplyDelete2D- Dee is a river that comes up frequently in CW.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the difficulty level in CW is difficult to perceive since it varies from solver to solver and even for the same solver on different days.
