  1. Re 32a: I think this compiler sometimes expects you to sub 't' for 'the'. It's simple as that!

  2. 31A could be 'COUNT OUT"

  3. 10A: Landowner = squire. How is "RL" derived from side line? (Right/Left?). Shouldn't it be side lines?

6D: Elope = people (-p). How to delete p using the clue "lacking bit of energy"?

15D: How is "Gen" related to Information?

    Thanks,
    -Kelvin

  4. 11ac: You have made a pertinent point about 'convoy'. Incidentally, what is an 'icon voyage'? Even if it means something, is it grammatical? For 'icon' is a noun and 'voyage' too is a noun. Shouldn't it be 'iconic voyage'? But that doesn't help! It seems that language can be used in any manner to be amenable to the clue writer's intention!

  6. Hi Kelvin
10A - Side = r{right) and L = Line that is what the intention seems to be

    6D Here I presume P = Power = Energy

15D Gen = Information (British Slang) perhaps from 1st syllable of 'general information'. Often used in wartime as an abbreviation of intelligence. eg- "give me the gen of your new business"
