Deepak,
ReplyDeleteMy father was a heavy smoker and I am sorry to say that at a late stage he did have emphysema.
'Abou Ben Adhem' was among the poems that my father read to me and my siblings in Begumpet, Secunderabad, when we were children. I must have been 11 or 12 years of age.
ReplyDeleteI had an Uncle who was afflicted with Emphysema due to smoking and that too Charminar. I for one gave up smoking 12 years ago after doing so for almost 33 years having picked up the habit while in my final years at school.
ReplyDeleteI am a first time visitor to this page. Anyway why s ghostly color shade?? I thought it was white
ReplyDeleteSir, can you explain the usage of 'queen' in the crossword?
ReplyDeleteHi Harry,
ReplyDeleteRegarding Shade see this link

As regards the usage of Queen, crosswords ER invariably replaces queen. ER stands for Elizabeth Regina i.e., Queen Elizabeth II of England and are the Initials used by her, see the following link
