  7. A request to JayD (and others who may be new to this blog): please don't post the current solutions in the previous days' posts. Although I begin solving the crossword long after the Colonel puts the solutions up, I however check the previous day's comments section to follow up on discussions and such, if any. Thankfully, today I didn't see beyond ASKANCE.

    IS (from the clue)

    "To be ON" is to be in agreement. (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/On)

    And 'amalgamated' asks you to put together those three words.

    ACROSTIC was the first clue I cracked today - Awesome Manna!!

    9d was iffy, DANCE MASTER sounds good for the clue given...wouldn't fit though..
