  1. Today's puzzle is not without its problems. A few good clues (16D is my CoD) are outnumbered by indirect anagrams, missing indicators, A=I assumptions and dodgy surfaces.

  2. Decent one today and a particularly good clue in 1A.

Singular vs plural bug rears its ugly head in 13A

11D INTONER: isn't this an &lit rather than a CD?

  3. Col.,

I am unable to follow 27a-how does Irish pound fit into the answer?

  4. @Padmanabhan: Irish pounds are 'PUNTS'; anagram together with 'WE' gives the solution. Ref anno and link

  5. mixed bag today. Some good clues but some equally bad ones.
i understand card player would be sitting North in a bridge game but how does eccentric performer fit?

  8. Ajay, 25D: "ta" is British slang for "thank you".

  9. I notice that Kishore hasn't replied today. Everything all right, I hope.

3D: one would assume that "best in art" refers to AI being inserted within a jumble of ART. But, no!

  10. Navneeth The problem with 25D is not how TA is got, but how total can mean Well organised. Unless it is supposed to mean complete and well organised is the anind. In which case it gets messy

  11. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's messy indeed.
