  2. 19A appears to be a S or E type clue. It has been shown as CD.

  3. Venkatesh,
'E' classification is something which I coined and I use it only when, to my mind, the clue looks like a definition as one would see in a dictionary. Which is not so in the case of 19A

  5. Well, proper Telugu would require 'sariga', I think. But this is how Tamilians often quote this.
Would welcome comment from a Telugu-knowing person.

  15. Padmanabhan @ 9.38,

I also could not think anything beyond Periodic Table, which didn't fit the Grid and I gave up.

On the whole, quite a satisfying crossword for two days.

  18. Did anyone else face problems while trying to access the blog yesterday, around 8 or 9 PM IST?

    Today's crossie:
Was held up for a while when I had BAD-CONDUCTOR in 4D, until I convinced myself that 9A was nothing fancy starting with a D but the obvious ANTELOPE.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oops: "not starting with a D"... I meant to say "containing a D".

  20. Got the whole thing! Vastly prefer Sankalak to Gridman/Manna/Jaggi.
