Good morning Colonel,
ReplyDeleteNeed some clarification in 5D: very eccentric = BATS ?
The word 'bats' (plural) here has nothing to do with the sport equipment. It means 'crazy' and originates probably from the nocturnal animal that hangs upside down and flits aimlessly.
ReplyDeleteThanks CV sir

ReplyDeleteNot a day passes without the newspapers having the faces of KKs. One says today: "I am not going to give up on acting just because I am married."
Poor chap, I don't know what situations he is going to face.
Now, what you, married or to be married, won't give up on just because of the fact? Answers invited.
Special today is TH 7075 from 21 Jun 13 which I found in an old newspaper used to line my steel trunk. Those days the name of the setter was not printed but we can make a guess based on the clueing style.
ReplyDeleteExcellent crossie today. Pity, very few hits !
ReplyDeleteClue of my day: ASTRONOMER ROYAL
CV: did you have in mind KKK? three ks? Ku Klux Klan? Many give up marriage because they took up acting !!
