Sir, your solution for 11a gives 2 t's. Bat is a cricketer and ironer is presser. Then it will be okay. Jayalakshmi Arumugham has solved it at 10:53.

    9. @ ramesh ss - No. The 2 halves are completely disconnected. But i dont know if that is allowed.

    10. Ramesh K. Consecutive blacks does not mean unchecked.
Check the link posted by KRM at 11:34 above to learn about grid construction

    11. @ramwsh K; unchecked lights is the operative word. No 3(or more) consecutive lights should be part of only one clue.

@Ramesh SS Standard crossword, we should be able to travel from any light to another in atleast one way.
Do you see a way from A2 to say A13?

@Gowri. Effectively They are two crosswords. I just pointed because Col stipulates a single ,13*13 or 15*15 in his guidelines.

    12. I don't see 2 CW's that are totally separate without any interconnection.

What a judge hopes for ( before passing verdict) is a sound proof. This is the defintion
Impervious to noise is the clue which also gives sound proof
