    E/CAR/E
That is if engine is added in the beginning it becomes e-car or if it is added at tge end ut becomes nurse.

    1. Na. It's simply saying you take either end of engine. Because it's e either way.

  2. Loved collapse & earthquake. Gene was the last to fall since it took a while to get Gene Wilder.

    1. Thanks Doc.
      I had a doubt.
The act of cutting per se is operation/surgery/vivisection/disection.
Invasive is limited to introduction of instruments into body cavitivies (natural or made through anyone of above procedures.).

    2. Also cutting into would be verb
Invasive I could only find adjective.

  9. Dear Mr. Kishore Rao,
Thanq for another CW compilation that was smooth and a tricky one too. Except for 2-D, did manage to solve today's grid. Ah, apart from 2-D, I couldn't guess the right answer for 16-A.
