    1. Thanks KRM. Yes, I just wanted to have the phrases using numbers, all in one CW. No mathematics there, only numbers.

  28. Thanks Ramki for your comments. May be U does not work as popular, and I should not have used it in that sense. But I have seen it being used in CW as ' socially desirable' and may be I was guided ( misguided?) by that. Sorry!

    1. Today's Sunday CW (TH)- 2D- 'Done' for socially acceptable!

    2. Upper-class is the highest status socially. So it becomes socially desirable thing.

    3. Finished fast and enjoyed. A few doubts clarified here.
U - 'socially acceptable ' may refer to A/U certification in films. I wonder if that U is short for Universal- for all to see.
8d= State of Estate given away rather easily.

  33. Solved completely only now. Nice crossie but 3 doubts.
22dn. Without right is removal of R or right letter. How is this clarified?
2dn - U is for posh - upper? Or acceptable - universal. But U for popular?
8dn - Fourth Estate from u in For the state? Too direct & not elegant cluing. Kosher?

    AJ/ Prasad - can u kindly clarify?
