  7. @Deepak

    Thanks, subdued, I got it.

    However regarding Nankeen, what is the relation of Nankeen to Navy?

  8. There is also a David Sassoon library in Mumbai. No relation to the Sassoon of the clue though.

  9. 3 - Article used in navy, strong fabric (7)

    On second thoughts maybe the anno is

    Article = AN
    used in = position indicator
    navy = N
    strong = KEEN
    fabric = {N}{AN}{KEEN}

    Not very clear about the use of 'used in'

  13. A little off-topic...

    I'm almost done with today's Sunday Crossword (Times of India) and there's just this one clue which remains unsolved. Could somebody help me here? Can't bear to wait for a week.

    26D: Prepare to explode - or not to explode! (4)

    Crossings go like _U_E (assuming I got the other answers right)
