Very nice pictures. Thanks for posting this so quickly. I enjoyed the captions especially the second one :P
ReplyDeleteI would have done it last evening from the train itself during my return trip, but I forgot to carry the adapter so I couldn't insert the card from the camera into my laptop.
ReplyDeleteAfter Alpha and before Charlie factorial (6)
ReplyDeleteI mean:
BRAVO!
Nice pics. You all must have had a great time. Now we know what the rest of us missed.
ReplyDeleteOK, Granite Bay the next time around. Airfare, all expenses fully paid for, may we presume? :-)
Rasam Mylapore?
ReplyDeleteYes Mylapore
ReplyDeletePut me down for the Granite Bay meet :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. You'll seem to have had a blast!

ReplyDeleteSaw the photos that Gita has uploaded on FB. Many of them have come out well. In one or the other of photos all those present are seen.
ReplyDeleteGranite Bay isn't a stone's throw away. But Coimbatore is.!!
ReplyDeleteHow about it? I'd like to meet all of you Guys and ---Dolls?
Incidentally, I too have that 8ft long crosswords, cryptic and four of them.
Raju Umamaheswar
Nice Pics and had a great time. For those who are wondering, DR D.Srinivasan's nephew's name is Harish Sivaramakrishnan
ReplyDeleteThe Col visits CBE often. If Raju organises an S & B meeting (after an interval of some three months from the just-concluded first meeting) when the Col is there on one of his usual trips, I am ready to come to CBE specially for the purpose. Bhargav might (we have to ask him).
ReplyDeleteI can ask a relative of mine - a former RBI officer and a keen crossword solver but not a member of any of our forums - who lives in Salem to come. And, of course, Dr DS will come if the meeting is after his return from Denmark. Then we can put two "8-feet" crossword spreads together and make it longer!

ReplyDeleteDolls?
Sorry! It's a wrong expression. And rather facetious.
As one who has read the women's posts in the Orkut communities (THCS, Crosswordmania and The Times crosswords of old) and comments here - not forgetting Mrs PP's forum on The Hub and Shuchi's internationally followed and acclaimed blog 'Crossword Unclued' - they are a wonderful lot - knowledgeable, enlightened, lively, friendly, gregarious, fun-loving, etc, etc. I hold them in awe and reverence.
Re: Chaturvasi
ReplyDeleteSorry, no offence meant as this was used only in levity as an expression 'Guys and Dolls''. I too have nothing but the highest of reverence to all those with whom I'm in correspondence with. Thousand apologies if any one had taken offence.
Obviously, I couldn't have been meaning any offence if taken in the right spirit and perspective.

Sure enough, we can plan ahead for a meet in Coimbatore, ere-long. I have yet to meet any cryptic solver here and may be, if any one has any contacts, I would be pleased to get in touch , or be put in touch with.
ReplyDeleteWho will follow up and how soon?
Raju Umamaheswar
Wonderful pic's. Looks like you guys had a blast. Here's to more such get togethers!!
