ReplyDeleteLiked most of the clues. SHORTIE, RHENISH, MARMOREAL and TALK ROUND took a long time for me.
Thought ROMAN ROAD was the best.
Took 25A as THU (-s) MB. Is it right?
When I saw PAT+ELLA again, I thought this was Manna for sure. Thankfully the answer changed!
ReplyDeleteA typo in 8D Claustrophobic...
ReplyDeleteVJ,
ReplyDeleteYou're right on THUMB, I didn't have the anno and forgot to mention it in my post.
Shyam,
Thanks, typo since corrected.
SO FA(R) SO GOOD. ON THE SPOT again. Legal Insofar sharing first space with in loco parentis. Two math terms Aliquot and Null set. Three if you count adds up.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered something more interesting than CWs and math, so I am late here today. Guess what ? Deepak, of course, has a clue...
wasn't too thrilled with the number of totally new words in today's cw...
ReplyDeleteHi Hari, long time!
ReplyDeleteWell it's not unusual... You'll always find a couple of new words in Gridman's grids.
claustrophobia is noun and claustrophobic is adjective
ReplyDeleteHi VJ!
ReplyDeleteYeah... I haven't been as regular as I used to be. I barely get a half hour to an hour in the mornings, and then the day just moves quickly into the next! :)
I do expect 1 or 2 new words with Gridman, but w/ today's CW, all of the following were new to me: MARMOREAL, CATECHU, RHENISH, ALIQUOT... Also, am not familiar w/ legal terminology. :) So I had a lot of blank space in today's CW...
btw, we (Chennai Trekkers Club) had the main page feature in yesterday's Metroplus. Wonder if anyone caught it? :) We're becoming famous! haha
ReplyDeleteHari, it's really nice when time goes by fast. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteYep, it's a couple more that usual. Well it's nice to learn new words ain't it!
And just read the article on Metro plus. Awesome job, you guys. Interesting story!
8D I curb school PTA out of a dread for confined spaces (14)
ReplyDeleteDefn: of a dread for confined spaces - CLAUSTROPHOBIC*
Anno: (I curb school PTA)*
Out is Anagrind
Col: "of a" also needs to be put in bold as it is part of the definition.
