Could it be- E{duc}e, since it says"a couple of more points?

22D- "TT" is usually used for abstainer, isn't it? I was trying on those lines and could not get it.

  4. Any reactions to the 'More Wayne,Less Colleen' ad. in today's paper?

This is just a carry forward of yesterday's discussions on the matter, for those who did not log in.

    2. John Wayne, Bruce Wayne, Wayne Rooney, take your pick.

BTW, Coleen is Wayne Rooney's wife, as against the wrong spelling quoth by me earlier, which of course is familiar to CW solvers as the generic Irish female.

So I think TH is saying that they will concentrate on the more relevant portion of the news i.e. Wayne Rooney rather than WAGs.

However, I think by making the ad too obtuse, TH has probably scored a self goal and some extra revenue to Google.

  5. 30 - Tasteless near the knuckle (10) - INDELICATE {IN}{DELICATE}?

be near the knuckle (British informal)
if a joke or a remark is near the knuckle, it is about sex in a way that some people find offensive

The clue would be a DD

  6. I lost count of the number of E clues in this crossword. I am always unhappy with E clues

  7. Suresh,

Your unhappiness has shifted from Anagrams to 'E' ?

  8. I always had a zero tolerance for E clues in a cryptic crossword. No change there. Anagrams are fine if the surface reading is good.
