Read about S & B 5 at this link. A slight goof up in the caption under the photograph though, Kishore would have fainted if so many turned up!!!!! 386 is the number of followers of the blog, though I wonder how many of them still follow the blog.
I must add here thanks to Tanu for the well written article and thanks to Richard as well for organising the coverage of the event.
My roof would have overfloweth!
ReplyDeleteBTW 386 seems to have no become 387 now.
what are 386 /387? group members?
Deletesurprisingly sankalak took a lesson or two from Gridman---eg: 17A, 25D and 28 A
ReplyDeleteoff to work... good day all.
I'm sure many more than 386 follow your blog, Colonel. That count is only for followers via Google Friend connect. There would be other followers who follow via RSS (I'm one of them) or make direct visits to the blog each day.
ReplyDeleteNice write-up in The Hindu other than the counting error.
As noted by CV, the error is the caption writer's contribution, not the reporters.
DeleteBTW, AFAIK, I have not clicked the follower link, so +1 more, like the people who stay behind the scenes ;-)
DeleteTest
ReplyDeleteName change using dashboard
am able to change display name as VP suggested
DeleteUnknown can follow suit.
DeleteThanks for your thanks, Deepak. I am grateful to Tanu and other friends at The Hindu for their cooperation.
ReplyDeleteNice crossword today. ( Figured the 24/25 mix up early enough ). The SW grid took longer. It was a tough battle to overcome Adharma.
ReplyDeleteShould we blame him for today's mixup ?
An apprentice sprinter lived awfully. (8,5)
Printer's Devil
DeleteRight to continue beating.(4,2)
DeleteThank you Col. for attaching the link. It makes it easier for us, non Bnagaloreans, to read about our meet and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThe write up is good and informative. As long as the goof up is on the plus side, we need not worry too much about it !
Agreed. Let's bask in the hype.
DeleteToday's CW-
ReplyDeleteIt all began before the world was born and was brought up to date in a quick, neat & enjoyable way.
Strangely I did not notice the mix up. I saw two Ks and the O and promptly filled in KNOCK without looking at the number.
ReplyDeleteKishore,
ReplyDeleteRediff has come up with an article with some nice photos of the Perseid showers that you were expecting in Bangalore the other night. But we had stars of a different kind much closer!
Thanks, sir.
DeleteWhy sir? Paddy will be fine.
DeleteHow can one be on such familiar terms with a person with such a patriarchal profile ;-)
DeleteMe too not in list of 386 till now. + 1 fro my side too
ReplyDeleteMe not there either.
DeleteAnd so say lots of us...
DeleteA belated wish in the afternoon...
ReplyDeleteA very happy birthday, Bhargav, and many many happier returns of the day.
I would like to be + 1 for Bhargav.
ReplyDelete14D - Foxed me a bit. First, i solved it as AUDIOLOGY!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for the birthday wishes.
ReplyDeleteAfter a brilliant Gridman yesterday, a slightly challenging one by Sankalak today :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed nevertheless.
