    1. S & B is a meeting or a gathering of Setters and Bloggers of this Blog.

  4. I'll be at Abu Dhabi on 12th. Hence, will not be able to attend S&B meet.

  7. Hello Sir,
I'm a newbie to the THC world. For the past six months, I've been regularly following the blog. Honestly, I've never completed a whole crossword, without the help of this blog.
I am a resident of Bangalore and would be privileged if I could attend this meet.

    regards
    Sujeet

  8. Have a function on 12th here, otherwise would have loved to attend as on earlier occasions.

  9. I guess Kishore's place is close to Bannerghatta National Park. Those interested can plan a visit. Just a hint in advance.

    1. 11 kms to BNP (I live equidistant from the denizens of the animal world and our politicians in Vidhan Soudha, though it is debatable that I may have mixed up the inhabitants and the locations). If we have the meet in the evening, then they need to got in the morning itself.

  16. With ref to the aforementioned fiends, how come none of their bitter halfs are attending?

    ReplyDelete
  17. We always have cross words with them; when we attend the S & B meeting, we are actually taking a break from that routine.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You mean you actually manage to get one {word} across to the them without having one {peg, quart, pint, litre, choose your capacity} down ?

      Delete
  18. My bitter half would definitely have attended if the situation permitted.

  19. Thanks for the meticulous planning, Colonel & Kishore & Rishikesh! Looking forward to this.

Managed to unpack unbroken bottle of wine ;-), still solid chocolate.....

    1. Welcome to India.
Apparent from the surname, of course. But you know how people tri-gress. I was veg (same reason as you), did eat NV long back (including zebra), but reverted back a decade back.

  22. You folks have a wonderful time ! Hope to make it to the Victor India meet.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I guess by Victor India you mean S&B VI...

Incidentally, has any of the ingenious mathemagicians in THCC found anything eerie or unique or mystical about the date of S&B V - 12-8-12? There is an infinity symbol turned vertical in the middle...

    1. Good observation, Richard. And like 12th of any month this year, in this notation it is pronouncedly a palindrome as in Twelve, Eight, Twelve.

  24. Calling all Carnivore attenders: Please let me know your choice by email to kishoremrao@hotmail.com, if not already informed, else, you will have to make do with ghas-phoosh.

    1. It is my humble guess that the majority will be non-non-veg crowd. To avoid offending anyone susceptibilities, I suggest we all be herbivores.

And don't forget the Dutch Touch. By the way, continuing the earlier subject, since butter is the main ingredient of Hollandaise, 'butter halves' could make up for the absence of 'bitter halves'...

      Delete
    2. .... as long as it's not 'Ghas lite'

      Delete
    3. Among the persons who have intimated their preferences till now, there is a lone non-vegetarian...

    4. Richard, I dont want to egg you on, or be a lying Dutchman, but I think Hollandaise has the yolk all over it

  25. Another advisory: Thick cotton or light woolen wear suggested in view of Bangalore temp.s dropping in the last few days. Also, if it gets wet/chilly, we can move from the roof to the ball-room downstairs.

    Dear Col:

Sorry, I have no plans to visit Bangalore this month-- probably next month, when I can meet some of you.Meanwhile, ye-all have a great Bloggers meet and I'd love to see the pics taken for posterity. Missing ye-all.

Lets see whether we can have a meet next in CBE.

Sapna and I fondly remember your visit to our place last year, Janmashtami day. One full year has gone by !!
