    Taking a coffee break after the Prelims, I picked up the puzzle lying on one of the tables. I sat on my table and was joined by Himanshu and Madhusudan (H M S in IXL). Madhusudan solved a few clues and so did Himanshu. Satyen Nabar looking over our shoulder reeled off 16d ; someone said (H M S?) “Wow, just like that eh?”. A small group collected and we were solving the puzzle in a group!
    Within 10 minutes , the puzzle was complete except for the anno of 17d. CV Sir took it up and tried hard. Finally Ramki came up and tried to anno it to no avail. Colonel had come over and saw and heard all of us giving our version of the anno. He went over to his table , came back and put us out of our misery, “the setter sent this version of the clue in the last minute”- the version that is put up now.
    I had an enjoyable time with the puzzle solving in a live group for the 1st time.
    Hope you all enjoy solving this as much as I did.

      Thanks Venkatesan, I too just noticed that my annotation is incomplete! The part"-we]" got deleted by my mouse for unknown reasons! Of late, I encounter this problem when I rest my palm on the keyboard area close to the touchpad area, the cursor moves elsewhere! I am having this problem with this new Dell laptop

    The usual level of clueing has been maintained. Could complete within an hour or so, amid noises around this Sunday morning, here in New Haven. So , the joy of active participation with ye -all is lost. Albeit, good to share in this blog. The sun may not rise on time, but the Col will never fail to post at his appointed hour !Thanks to him. The ever peripatetic restless traveler in all climes. No here, now there and ever everywhere ! But never to miss the blog here.
