  3. 14 A: Notes in sequence = MUSICAL SCALE.
    Forge is an Anagram Indicator.
    Smuggler = MULE
    America's gives A
    Anagram of MULE + A + CLASSIC = MUSICAL SCALE

  9. Nice one from Hypatia with some very good clever wordplay innovative use of synonyms (!) (Peed = went) and craftily hid T's. The trademark Spooner was missing. Lovely themes ones on the Musical legend. Enjoyable solve.

    1. Thanks for the feedback Prasanna. 27A was a bit tongue in cheek about the times that we don't manage to finish some elusive grids. Ofc Colonel Saab's blog is here to make sure that no grid in TH remains unfinished for too long.
