      I hope you are a newbie to this forum. You are expected to give your solution with proper annotation. To aid you with permission from Colji,
      Definition is Passivity= inertia
      Inertia is what you get from your remaining part of the clue.
      Your attempt I retain somehow doesn’t communicate, unless you have understood that somehow is the anagram indicator for retain, then I+(retain)*= inertia= Passivity.

      Then it is alone
      hood is —- al capone
      Without hood (cap) means alone
      Which Is himself.
