  1. Hi folks

    Repeating 20A -CHEERS!

The southwest corner took a longer time. PEACENIK, IGUANA, CITED, SPECTATOR, ESOTERICA, INSPIRE and some others were easy.

    13A - hmm...

GET THEE BEHIND ME, (Satan!) - a quote from the Bible, the way Jesus replied when tempted by Satan with a mundane offer. Luke 4: 5-8

OUBLIETTE, ASTROLABE were new words. Liked DIG+IT, STRATA+GEM, CABINET, STREAMER, ACRIMONY and some others.

  3. I feel Mover has raised the bar a little today, though enjoyable. Learned quite a few new words some of which I could do with a little outside help. Could not still get 25A.

A new way of looking at a harem !

  5. I did not know that 'Proteas' was cricket specific, but generally referred to a South African like Aussies etc.

  6. Lovely puzzle from Mover today. 6D was my clue of the day & 'with lots of bunnies' was the definition of the day

What perhaps I am today in comparison to yesterday:

Lark for instance is a flier before time ? No! the other way around. (5,4)

  7. Lovely CW today! Harem and Get thee behind me were the best ! Cheers to Mover - great start to the day.
Many thanks to RameshJ and others for answering my query about the ET Crossword.
    Good morning all!

  8. Nice one. Like most had to 'cheat' to get 25A, and as already pointed out it didn't help that it was clued as a straightforward definition with no way to 'solve'. Hardly the 'E' type of clue!

  9. Nice puzzle and learnt a few new words today. I liked 3D, considering it had my mind stuck on the data structure "trie" for a long time.

    1. Fortunately I did not know what 'trie' meant. So figured out easily

  10. WRT 19D, equating "Proteas" to "cricket player" seemed a bit odd as the term is applied collectively to the team.
