ReplyDeletePadmanabhan @ 3:15,
ReplyDeleteIt's ZOOM and CV gave the anno in his post @ 2:03 PM. The complete answers are there in my 2:53
Ooh. I missed this one as I was busy shifting home :-(
ReplyDeleteThe grid of an an alpha jigsaw puzzle does not have the clue numbers in cells as the clues themselves don't have any numbers but only the beginning letters.
ReplyDeleteObviously, the answers cannot be fitted into the grid by multiple solvers. I wish that this task was left to an advanced solver, 'advanced' in the sense one who can produce an image of a completed grid.
Was there a compromise while publishing this puzzle here? Would Buzzer clarify whether the original crossword grid had clue numbers in cells?
CV,
DeleteI must clarify. There were no numbers in the Grid provided by Buzzer. I added the numbers for ease of explaining where the Answer would fit in finally. That is why in the instructions I had specifically mentioned not to give out the numbering in the grid along with the answers.
It was easier to indicate the final answers using the numbers as I would not be able to put in a grid with the answers in the comments section.
So the inclusion of numbers in cells was because of exigencies. I understand. Thanks for the clarification.
ReplyDeleteThanks Colonel.
ReplyDeleteWas out most of the day yesterday, so couldn't participate. Looks like all clues were unravelled without any problems.
