ReplyDeleteJoining the band wagon very late in wishing our very own Col. Deepak Gopinath a very special 60th Birthday and many many happy years ahead. May God bless him with long life with happiness & prosperity. These wishes are tinged with a selfish motive to continue enjoying this blog, which was started by him and has grown many fold and I am sure will grow from strength to strength in the coming years. I wish Col. was born a few days earlier(!) to coincide with the millionth hit of this blog!!

DeleteHappy Birthday Deepak. A milestone for your Blog a few days back and a milestone in your life today. Best wishes for Sahasra Chandra Darisanam in due course
ReplyDeleteSorry I could be wrong in the categorizing the annos:
ReplyDelete13A Smiling, he might say it as he sees it at the table? (6)CHEESE (DD?)
14D Trap girl at home (3) GIN (charade?)
G - girl
In - at home
Gin = trap
28D Domestic help always at hand initially (4) AYAH (Acrostic?)
Is there anything missing here? Domestic help always yours at hand initially would have been clearer.
First sentence to read: 'Sorry I could be wrong in categorizing the annos'
Delete28D Domestic help always at hand initially (4) AYAH
DeleteNothing is missing. I am not the author of the clue but I can say the anno is AY (always) + AH ('at hand initially'). It is a charade.
PS: 'ay' is a sp. variant of 'aye'.
DeleteThank you.
PUNCTilious as usual, Richard.
