    I can think of some triangular meals, but square?

    1. All festival spreads can be considered as square meals. If you look at it literally Parathas are sometimes made as squares.

  3. 14D- How does one decide that public house stand for p & h? Are they standard abbreviations?

    1. PH is a standard abbreviation for PUBLIC HOUSE

    2. P for Public I think is commonly accepted, like in PA (PublicAddress) Systems. H for house is a regular, in crosswords at least.

    4. It is in Chambers XWD A Dictionary of Crossword Abbreviations.

      Gridman has used this abbr. in a clue in the past or maybe in a forthcoming puzzle; don't remember.

  5. Nice puzzle.Leading clues.'s' is overlapping in two blocks of the clue 1d.muds:allegations;Then how is it 'skipper' for captain.It should have been kipper only.Otherwise quite enjoyable.
