Just for my clarification. What does the question mark (?), in CROSSWORD signify?
ReplyDeleteSome clues will take a QM in their own right. E.g., 12a where the clue itself is an interrogative sentence.
ReplyDeleteOthers may carry a QM to signify that something unusual is happening. E.g., 15a where the anag fodder is 'suit' taken with 'pink coat'. 'With' itself is not part of the anag fodder.

Again a very few hits on this sunday !! I wondered last sunday whether sunday special is upstaging the regular. A cryptic puzzle by any name is as esoteric as any; so why not the same enthusiasm? or is it that every one is busy beating the dead line for the special?what's the explanation?
ReplyDeleteI think it's because this doesn't feature Indian setters.
ReplyDeleteRaghunath: Thanks . where are you camping now? I;m in New York right now..
ReplyDeleteIs it possible for a mini blogger slogger meeting any where with any one else also joining in? Are you in my time zone?
I'm in the old country.
