  20. Over the moon with Le Roi's puzzle. Always a pleasure doing them. Thanks to DG for this treat on a festival day. Should have more of these. While waiting at the Clinic for my pre-trip-abroad check-up, finished 15 puzzles from a Book of Daily Mail crossie. Given a clean bill of health and what ho on full 12 cylinders !!

Looks like none left for me as I logged in late after an early trip into town. The drive was exhilarating with a bracing chill, lent from the neighbouring Ooty. Roads uncluttered by spluttering piki-pikis ! Must have been like this in the good old days in Kovai?

  23. An excellent puzzle! Thoroughly enjoyed solving it.

A small doubt regarding clue - 12 Employees turned around and left for ultimate strong apartments (5) F(-f)LATS

I think it should have been worded as Left for Penultimate strong(f).

  24. Thanks Padmanabhan...
MB the annotation I had in mind was STAFF turned around becomes FFATS and the second F is replaced by L. Second F being ultimate. Though I understand your dilemma ... If experts can help us here ... It would be great

    1. Sorry, Rangarajan. I realized the mistake in my reasoning and came hurrying up to delete my comment but by then yours had appeared! I fully agree with your explanation and that was my reasoning too though delayed!
