Dr RKE's TalePiece

A green story

The mysterious death of ANTELOPES in the KARACHI zoo was a matter of concern. The media spoke in DERISION about the incident and the zookeeper could no longer TAKE THE RAP. He recommended the Government to call a bio-researcher from SWEDEN, known for her FORESIGHTEDNESS and ABILITY, to ASSESS the cause for the FATALITY. She had earlier received MEDALS from the SECURITY COUNCIL for her work on the drying up of the ARAL SEA and loss of its fauna. She came and made an IN SITU analysis. The animals had died with a swollen RIB CAGE.  A necropsy revealed undigested matter blocking the gut of the hapless beasts. She traced it to the green plastic packing of the GRUB sold by the DELI in the zoo. The UNSEALed bags, strewn carelessly by the visitors, were eaten by the deer, which had mistaken them for LEAVES. Such a PROSAIC explanation was not sensational enough for the media, which had propunded ESOTERIC theories of some INTOXICANT in the feeds sourced by a DISLOYAL official. The incident caused the government to announce a ban on plastics. A two TIERed TABLEAU was seen in the next  Independence Day parade emphasizing the dangers of plastic use.

  1. 17D- OK confused me also and I did not get it. Could Gridman have meant 'manage OK' for cope?

    5. Oto Indians is a split-off group of otoes (blue reservation). Generally both are used interchangeably, unless speaking of specific groups.
