The eight half-winds are the direction points obtained by bisecting the angles between the principal winds. The half-winds are north-northeast (NNE), east-northeast (ENE), east-southeast (ESE), south-southeast (SSE), south-southwest (SSW), west-southwest (WSW), west-northwest (WNW) and north-northwest (NNW). The name of each half-wind is constructed by combining the names of the principal winds to either side, with the cardinal wind coming first and the intercardinal wind second.

  38. CV sir thanks for the Sunday special REGARD it as very good (as usual). See it’s ECHO here!
After an ÉCLAIR and CLARET we HIT IT OFF well, MASON and I. As is the MORES of their family to get away from the HEARTH, he was on holiday to CYCLADES with his daughter and her DOTER BEAU. He told me his story of how he had to LAY TO after a steep fall. FROTH, STEALING and NONSENSE at work by IDIOTS, brought him to a STANDSTILL. This was a TEST of his PHILOSOPHY. He as stubborn as a MULE, manly and BRUSHIER, LEAD ON to PURSUE. RETRYING with zeal like ATTILA improved his PROFIT RATIO to move up a TIER PLUS. Visiting the bank as the TELLER gave him cash made him a lot SMILER.
The group now AWAITS more Sunday specials from the gridman.
