DeleteHe is such an experienced solver that even with a cryptic puzzle he solves only with the def and wouldn't care much for the nitty-gritty anno acc to certain arcane notation. He would say :"I saw it, I got the answer. Bus." and then he will move on to the next crossword waiting on his pad on the table. To each his or her pleasure.

ReplyDeleteWhich clue?
DeleteThanks, Col. Once I got the answer, I fill in hurry up slowly . Invariably, I find my answers are already taken earlier . Further, my impatience is with my laptop which is very whimsical and has very vague background and scripts. I see that after I have keyed in, some letters end up in upper case and some in lower. The clue for eg. for Maria , 14 across. is absolutely bleak in my screen.
DeleteSorry for the annoyance I am causing you, and I"ll try and be more diligent in my annotations.
cv is right. I have no patience once the answer clicks in and that;s it. I couldnt bother more !
