      In such clues I always get a doubt if support is the def. or tent. have t depend on crossings to decide.

    EDITS is checking,correcting
    Returning currents ie Tides are currents and returning is reading backwards tides. Thus the answer is TIDES.

  7. Returning currents is the wordplay. From that we get Tides=< or SEDIT. End to end indicates S goes from front end to back and so Edits. Def,is "Checks' (always either at the beginning or end)

  9. I am a beginner ,pls tell the meaning of Regular as in leach even letters e & c are taken where as in slums odd letters s,u,s are taken .Both leach & slums are 5 letter words.
