DeleteWonder if number ten is intended as MD.
ReplyDeleteFor a song should be Dd (c&cd or d&cd!), Imo.
Had to put in extra effort as compared to regular(previous) incognito.
Yes it was intended as MD
DeleteThe CEC ENTERed the hall and after his speech announced the dates. 234 seats IN ALL in Tamil Nadu and the CONTESTANTS yet to be finalised. The seasoned contestants have to safeguard their IMAGE.

27Ac "IN ALL" and 6Dn "GET ACROSS" were delightful clues today. Learn of "Griddle Cake" today. In 5Dn I got "Armando" knowing it is an anagram though I didn't know of it before. In 8Dn the clue had a nice surface. Enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks
DeleteEver grateful to incognito for keeping me interested!
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteI too look forward to incognito. It is a breeze compared to some unspellable Guzalfus
DeleteLate solve. No less enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteLearned a lot about Diego.
Had a smile on reading about love on sofa bed! Must have needed a lot of imagination making that one!
Now off to find out what "El Pibe De Oro". Shall I call it home work?
Just his nickname? High sounding. Must be simple if one knows Spanish.
ReplyDeletePine is more like angry young man of 70-80s movies. Anti-establishment, ever angry, fighting with everyone but ultimately lovable and kind hearted.
DeletePibe*
DeleteThe IA version of THC gives the theme as "Today was the debut of Diego Maradona in 1977".
ReplyDeleteI still cannot forget the memorable 1986 WC, the superb goals and of course "the hand of God" goal.
Thank you Incognito for remembering this legend.
The exact words used there were, "The Golden Boy made his full international debut 24 years to the day, on February 27, 1977. This puzzle by Incognito is his long-passed tribute to the man whom many regard as a perfect ten with or without the Hand of God."
ReplyDeleteThe Golden Boy (El Pibe de Oro) 😃
DeleteThank u for a beautiful CW & lovely memories of Diego. When i watched the 1986 WC, i was amongst the minority - girls who loved football (& not cricket so much!).
ReplyDeleteToday hopefully things have changed.
