usually solve in the evening but this evening am busy THEREFORE started in the forenoon. LOOKED at the paper grid that had only clue by ITSELF, no enums! Thought will be beyond my UNDERSTANDING should I IGNORE today's and do FRIDAY's? Went to the SHEPHERD (the blog) and ASKED for SPECIFIC info on multiple word clues. EVER eager got the reply in NINETY seconds making it EASIER. What an ESTABLISHMENT colonel has set up! An ADVANTAGE for solvers to look LISTEN and learn. No EXTRA words in the clues that read like a STANZA Favorite clues 22D, 18D, 20A for the word play on the letter EXITS. Great grid After dark! .....Nice enjoyed it. Was a FOUNTAIN of joy
